Fabulous comfort: two NEOPLAN Tourliners for Grimm-Reisen
- Mudau-based Grimm-Reisen GmbH opts for NEOPLAN Tourliner with first-class kitchen equipment and 2+1 seating
- The two coaches will be used for exclusive tours both in Germany and in Europe
- Bus Modification Center (BMC) in Plauen provided exclusive equipment
The company Grimm-Reisen GmbH from Mudau in the Neckar-Odenwald district was founded in 1972 and is now managed by Roland Grimm and Lena Grimm-Esposto in the second and third generation. In the early days of the company, around 50 years ago, the travel offer consisted mainly of pilgrimages, for example to Lourdes in France. This route is still an integral part of Grimm's travel programme today. In addition, a wide range of first-class trips has been added, which are now also offered within Germany in the times of Corona. These trips offer an exclusive atmosphere in small groups of maximum 29 guests.
The latest addition to Grimm-Reisen are two premium NEOPLAN Tourliner coaches with 2+1 seating, which is particularly attractive in the current situation. Thanks to the special form of the seating arrangement, distance guidelines can be easily implemented and at the same time the passenger wish for more space and comfort, which is being demanded more and more frequently, can be fulfilled. This exclusive interior design was made possible by the MAN Bus Modification Centre in Plauen. This also provided a further highlight, which should particularly delight culinary fans: In the rear of both Tourliners, a spacious kitchen is installed, which in addition to countless storage and filing facilities, includes a refrigerator, a high-quality fully automatic coffee machine, a dishwasher and a beer dispenser.
"We are very happy about the two new additions to our fleet. Thanks to the MAN Bus Modification Centre no wishes remain unfulfilled and with these two NEOPLAN Tourliner buses we can offer our customers first-class and at the same time safe travelling," says Lena Grimm-Esposto, Managing Director of Grimm-Reisen GmbH.
The buses are equipped with WLAN and have a USB charging station in the seats. This means that passengers on long journeys do not need to give up the multimedia use of their own devices and can get off at their holiday destination with a fully charged battery.
The consistent, high-contrast color concept in the interior creates a feel-good atmosphere for the guests on board during the day in combination with extensive light incidence through the large windows and at night through the full LED lighting. In addition to the exclusive interior design, the two NEOPLAN buses from Grimm also impress with their luxurious exterior design. The sharp-cut design so typical of NEOPLAN is further accentuated by the bronze-gold paint finish of the two Grimm buses. Two logo projectors on the entrance doors also ensure a first-class reception on board.
But the two luxury liners with their MAN D26 common-rail engines also have a lot to offer under the bonnet. The 6-cylinder in-line engine has a full 470 hp and thus ensures an optimum ratio between consumption and performance. The MAN TipMatic Coach transmission technology, which intelligently and independently selects the optimum shifting strategy in every driving situation, from starting off on uphill and downhill gradients and bends through to providing support in slow-moving traffic, ensures that the vehicle glides along smoothly. At the same time, fuel consumption can be reduced and driving safety increased.
Note: Due to the hygiene regulations regarding COVID-19, the kitchen in the rear is currently not in use.
